Scholarships for International Students

The University of South Alabama is proud to offer a number of scholarship opportunities for our international students. As many of these are competitive awards, students are encouraged to apply for admission prior to the priority deadline dates to ensure consideration.
The Global Freshman Scholars award is a competitive, merit-based scholarship, awarded to a limited number of well-qualified international students each year. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, or until a first bachelor's degree is earned, whichever comes first.
To ensure consideration for this opportunity, students must be fully admitted to the University by the priority deadlines below. After acceptance to the University of South Alabama, incoming first-time freshmen will automatically be reviewed for the Global Freshman Scholars awards, and no additional scholarship application is required. A scholarship award notification will be emailed to qualified students through their JagMail account.
