³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Opera Theatre
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Opera Theatre (MUO 116, 416, 516) trains student performers in the fundamentals of stagecraft, performance, and production. Through experience performing the standard works of opera, operetta, and American musical theater, students present each semester's work in performance on campus and in outreach venues in the Mobile community. Student performers are immersed in every technical and artistic aspect of each production, providing them with a unique hands-on experience that prepares them thoroughly for careers in opera and musical theatre. Alumni of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Opera Theatre are actively engaged as performers in regional, national, and international operatic houses.
Each season, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Opera Theatre presents a Fall Scenes program comprised of selections from opera and musical theatre, and a fully-staged operatic production every spring semester. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Opera Theatre also performs at campus events throughout the year.
Enrollment is open to all ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ students.
