The University of South Alabama Speech and Hearing Center is a clinical instruction facility within the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions. The Center is committed to enhancing communication and quality of life by providing comprehensive speech, language, and hearing services while fostering excellence in clinical education, training, and research.

Our mission is twofold:

  1. To serve the community by offering high-quality diagnostic and treatment services for individuals of all ages with speech, language, and hearing disorders.
  2. To educate and train future professionals by providing supervised, hands-on clinical experiences essential for graduation, licensure, and certification in speech-language pathology and audiology.

As both a service facility and a teaching facility, the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Speech and Hearing Center integrates evidence-based practices to ensure exceptional patient care while preparing students for competent and ethical clinical practice.

The University of South Alabama Speech and Hearing Center is offering limited speech-language pathology services via telepractice for the benefit of clients and students. Clients will be contacted on an individual basis as appointments become available. To help prepare for the telepractice service delivery model, clients, family members, and caregivers are encouraged to refer to the .
